So you're in pain.

You don't have the best posture, you sit (a lot) for work, and the main movement you do during the day is getting up to eat and use the washroom. You may be active on the weekend and occasionally stretching that terribly tight neck you've had all day. Hot packs and massages help a bit, and you may have maxed out on Advil. You're tired of being in this endless place of chronic headaches, shoulder pain, and a stiff, aching low back. You know you shouldn't feel like this and you're dying to find some lasting relief.

Now what?

Hi, I'm Dr. Terah

As a chiropractor, I've committed my life to equipping myself with the tools necessary to help people move better, move often, and live pain free. While I loved and excelled at science and anatomy in school, it was actually my own personal journey with injury, accidents, and rehabilitation that propelled me to pursue chiropractic medicine. For me, it was the answer to my own problems, and I knew I needed to help others struggling with the same issues. It's this passion that pushes me to excel in resolving complex cases and becoming a source of healing for those who haven't found relief elsewhere.

FAQ

I heard chiropractors crack backs - do you only do adjustments?

There is a misconception that chiropractors "crack backs". What we're actually doing is relieving pressure in the joints. The release of gas within the joint makes that distinctive "crack" you hear. My personal style is a blend of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, acupuncture, and physical rehab, but ultimately I will pick modalities that are suitable and indicated for you as there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Did you know that acupuncture needles can be as thin as a human hair? It's much smaller than any needle you may have gotten. There can a pricking sensation when the needle is inserted or intense pressure/spasm when muscles release (much like a deep tissue massage). Generally, acupuncture is well-tolerated, but like any area that is sore: if you press on it, it'll hurt!

Can I exercise after treatment?

Overall, yes. I'm a firm believer that motion is lotion, so the sooner after treatment that you get moving, the more you can utilize the new-found range of motion to your advantage.

Do you do direct
billing?

Yes - I can do direct for most insurance companies. Each company has their own policies and coverages, so I always recommend you check in with them to clarify.
